Walsall Council attending this year’s UKREiiF to showcase Walsall’s emerging development opportunities

With a £1.5billion programme of investment underway, and with a growing list of development opportunities, Walsall is a thriving up-and-coming area of the West Midlands for investment.

This year, Walsall Council is delighted to be attending UKREiiF, the UK’s real estate, infrastructure and investment forum, to grow connections and put Walsall firmly on the map amongst developers.

Attending collectively alongside other West Midlands councils, Walsall will form part of the West Midlands Pavilion for the three-day conference. Delegates including the deputy leader and the chief executive will take part in panel discussions and share the vision for Walsall.

Councillor Adrian Andrew, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Regeneration at Walsall Council, said: “We are in the middle of a really exciting period of growth and now is the perfect time to put Walsall on the map with a presence at UKREiiF.

“With so much investment being attracted to grow and improve the borough I’m confident that it is an attractive opportunity for investors and developers. I am looking forward to attending, and building relationships with investors, businesses and industry leaders.”

Centrally located just minutes from Birmingham with strong public transport links and highway connectivity, Walsall is an excellent central location to do business. With significant investment currently helping the council to revitalise derelict and brownfield sites to bring back into economic use, there are vast amounts of investment opportunities coming down the pipeline.

Walsall’s investment programme will lead to more opportunities for people and businesses, creating over 4,000 new jobs and building more than 1,000 new homes.
