State of the art cycle studio and functional fitness area launched at Bloxwich Active Living Centre

A brand new cycle studio is now available at Bloxwich Active Living Centre. Boasting 26 bikes, a cinematic screen and fully immersive lighting and sound system, it aims to provide a full immersive experience to participants.

The new studio has been developed with the support of fitness provider Les Mills and centre instructors have been trained to deliver their popular cycle classes - Spin, RPM and Trip.

Over 60 classes a week are being delivered with a mixture of live instructed classes as well as virtual classes using Les Mills digital technology.

Councillor Garry Perry, Deputy Leader Resilient Communities said, “I am pleased that we are able to offer this amazing new provision at Bloxwich Active Living Centre for anybody looking to get fitter in 2022!”

“If you haven’t tried it before this is a fantastic opportunity to have a go using the latest digital technology and training techniques and with the guidance of our fully trained instructors – it’s a great way to get fit and healthy.”

“Getting physically fit not only maintains our physical wellbeing but has also been proven to help with our mental health and wellbeing.”

Classes are included in Walsall Leisure’s All Inclusive membership, for £32 which covers all four sites, swim, gym, class and sauna/steam.  Alternatively customers and non-members are welcome to attend on a casual basis of £5.70 per class which is bookable via our new online booking system.

The gym area has also been extended to provide more space for functional fitness, which has become a popular form of strength training.

All of our Leisure facilities have COVID-safe control measures in place including hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes. There is an expectation that customers wear face masks while moving around the facilities unless medically exempt.
