Remembrance service is cancelled in Upper Gornal

Our usual service this Sunday has been cancelled, so we have recorded this video to remember and share amongst our community.

As we enter Remembrance Weekend, our thoughts turn to those who never came home.

Each year at our Remembrance Day Service in Upper Gornal, the names of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the First and Second World Wars are spoken aloud to honour them.

We thought it was so important that this should continue this year, despite the restrictions.

With the help of 1st Upper Gornal Scouts and Sedgley & Upper Gornal St John Ambulance, we’ve put together a short 15-minute video. Please spare the time this weekend to pause, reflect and remember.

Thank you and God Bless

Cllr Adam Aston, Cllr Keiran Casey, Cllr Chris Neale.

Rev Catherine Mitchell, Rev Guy Hewlett, Rev Tim Coles, Pastor Nigel Marsh, Suzanne E Bradley.
