Tamworth businesses urged to help improve local economy

Businesses from across the borough of Tamworth are invited to have their say and help Tamworth Borough Council work to improve the local economy.

Tamworth Borough Council has appointed The Retail Group to engage with local businesses to assess how they are faring, performing, and to explore and understand the issues holding back performance growth.

The findings will help Tamworth Borough Council develop and target business support and business services going forward.

The Retail Group is contacting businesses in a variety of ways and is keen to understand the views of as many local businesses as possible in regards trading in Tamworth, having already distributed business engagement surveys to many clusters of businesses across the borough.

Councillor Stephen Doyle, Cabinet Member for Skills, Planning, Economy & Waste said:

“It’s important that we hear from as many Tamworth businesses as possible, feedback, insight and reflections about the local economic climate will help improve local business support services and the local economy overall.

“Tamworth as a place has so much to offer; situated within easy reach of major conurbations, great transport links, affordable housing and thriving jobs market. And as a council we’re here to support business growth and development. By taking part in this survey, local Tamworth businesses will help us provide business services to improve the local economy and employment options for local people.”

Responses are confidential and individual responses will not be shared with anyone at the council.
